The Cars Story




In 1992, my wife greeted me as I walked through the door with a local classified ad. "Call Now!"  We had been looking for our own classic mustang all our lives . Great to have wife who wants the car then you do!




We found our mustang buried under hay in a barn in Massachusett coming from Dearborn Plant in April 1st 1964 on a DSO 11 shipping to Boston.   It wasn't perfect, but the dry hay had frozen it in time of the bicentennial judging from the bumper stickers, and kept all the parts together.  The interior with is console was intact even the dash survived being entombed in a hay.   We bought the car immediately even before we researched and found it was a really early car.   All the panels are stamped March Dates, as well as a blue engine (think came off line from Falcon because building so fast)  The Radiator support (with rusted factory lettering) showed was C337 skid on factory, was a 76A convertible with a 486 black interior, BL backup lights, PT power top convertible and Power Steering.   Only extra see is doesn't have AC (for a northern car not surprising)  it has orignal Generator and metal cover as well.  We restored it back to original and made it a driver in 2005.



Still need to restore interior, but being original I don't have heart since it is all there.  Did rebuild the 260 V8, welded in new floor boards, inner rockers, quarter panels and rear trunk frame, new top on original frame, and paint job.
